How to use a Righthand with Freshsales

Prepare a Freshsales contact-to-deal handoff with record IDs, account links, stage evidence, and carefully qualified follow-up proposals.

Make the sales handoff about missing context

Use Righthand with Freshsales to prepare a contact-to-deal handoff for a selected sales queue. The useful result identifies which records lack an explicit owner, verified account relationship, or next-step evidence. It should help the team clarify work without creating new contacts or advancing deals by guess.

Freshworks' CRM API reference distinguishes contacts, sales accounts, deals, and their related fields. Preserve record identity and the relationship between them. A contact name matching a deal name is not sufficient evidence that they belong together.

Define the account and record scope

Give the Freshsales domain, approved view or exported list, included deal stages, and the relevant custom-field mapping. For an illustrative new-business handoff, include contacts attached to selected open deals and the notes the sales owner permits the assistant to review.

Inspect the actual tools through integrations. If relation or activity reads are unavailable, use an approved export or browser workflow. A provider API supports many operations that may not appear in the selected Righthand connection; this first task only needs evidence gathering.

A complete example brief

At 9 AM America/Los_Angeles on Tuesday, review the approved new-business Freshsales queue. Produce a private handoff with deal ID and link, current stage, explicit owner, related account and contact identities, and supplied next-step evidence. Flag uncertain relationships and missing required context under the attached policy. Do not create contacts, merge records, advance stages, or send messages. Deliver to me for sales-manager review and reconcile deal and contact counts separately.

This example is illustrative. One deal can relate to several people, and one contact can participate in more than one opportunity. Counts should reflect those relationships instead of assuming a one-to-one match.

Define the expected output

An example entry might say: “Open deal; related sales account present; two contacts with different roles; next decision owner unconfirmed.” Keep both contacts and their source identities. The assistant can propose asking the deal owner to confirm the stakeholder rather than selecting an address arbitrarily.

A recent activity can be unrelated to the deal's next step. Include its source context and avoid declaring a sales milestone complete from a generic account note. If the relevant custom field is absent from the export, identify the missing column.

Reconcile before any CRM update

Match records by type and ID across repeat runs. A company rename should not cause a new account to be created. A changed relationship should update the existing review entry with its supporting source.

Permission failures and partial retrieval can hide relationships. Return incomplete coverage rather than inferring an empty account. If the owner authorizes supported writes later, reread the exact records and relationships afterward to verify the resulting state.

Use Righthand connection permissions for narrow account access and reviewed actions. Check plans before making the handoff recurring.
